Brantholme B&B is no ordinary Guest House Located right in the heart of the Lake District Ambleside. We take great pride in the warm welcome and the friendly atmosphere, We love to create the perfect place.We're ideally located in both The Lake District National Park and The Lake District World Heritage Site. We are Jo and Frank who own and manage the B&B. We love nothing more than welcoming guests to this most beautiful part of Lakeland. We're a dog-friendly Bed & Breakfast in Ambleside and we love we’ll behaved dogs as long as they bring their paying humans! Brantholme has benefited from substantial refurbishment work over the last few years and we continue to invest in the B&B to ensure each stay is memorable for all the right reasons.

We recently stayed four nights at Jo and Frank's lovely bed and breakfast. Our room was at the back of the house (top floor) looking out toward Loughrigg. The B&B is in a quiet location with easy access to shops, pubs & resturants. Frank & Jo are very friendly, helpful and always made time to chat. The house has fabulous views. We enjoyed spending late afternoons on the terrace in the back garden. The terrace had plenty of places to sit & the patio furniture had parasols which were very handy - the weather was superb. The room and ensuite (lovely toiletries) are very well equipped and immaculately clean. There is plenty of choice for breakfast. We can highly recommend the tasty full breakfast (cooked to order & on hot plates too); a great start to a day's walking on the fells. We were delighted with our choice of B&B & will return. ~ Bev O
Absolutely loved our stay at the Brantholme, Jo and Frank couldn't have been more perfect hosts, everything was catered for, the breakfasts were fantastic, loads of choice and very well presented and cooked. Such attention to detail throughout the whole house. Our ground floor room was spacious, the bathroom was immaculate, comfy large bed and our own patio outside with tremendous views every morning. Situated near the park and fields, so very quiet at night, we had the best sleep. Going out at night and it's literally a 5 minute walk and you are in the centre of town, with all the amenities you need. We would recommend Matthews Bistro, but book beforehand. Really should have tried the hot tub, missed out on a treat there, it looked stunning, overlooking the hills. Obviously we were sad to leave, and will definitely be coming back longer for our next break! If you are thinking of booking, what are you waiting for? ~ ST3 G
We have just stayed two nights in Jo and Franks beautiful bed and breakfast. The house has wonderful views, lovely gardens including a hot tub that is available to use. There is also on site parking. The rooms are spacious, very well decorated and immaculately clean with both bath and shower en-suite. The beds are so comfortable. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and I can highly recommend the full breakfast which is very tasty and a great starter to a day in the Lakes. No need to look any further if you want to stay in Ambleside and we will definately return Thank you Jo and Frank for a lovely time. Mark and Janet. ~ Mark D
